Begun in 2011, Wings has a well-organized structure designed to provide maximum support to our advocates, partners and participants. Working closely with over 30 Santa Cruz County case managers from over 11 county and city organizations, our Wings master dispatcher coordinates task requests and assignments, eliminating stress and providing flexibility for advocates to work within their schedules.
The requests we receive come directly from our partner case managers and are always centered around helping the homeless find a home and staying housed so healing can begin.
"From clients getting a new haircut, a notarized application for a birth certificate, or a ride to the doctor, Wings offers a wide array of supportive services that helps bridge the gap in resources and makes a big impact in the lives of my clients."
-Chris, Housing Matters Case Manager
We ❤ Our Volunteers
Our team of caring volunteers is dedicated to support individuals and families in their walk out of homelessness. Working with professional case managers, we volunteer our time and talent to help homeless participants complete tasks and obtain resources needed to become housed and self-sufficient.
Our volunteers meet monthly to celebrate our collective successes, learn more about how they can help people exiting homelessness, and contribute to planning for the future. This is an important part of the Wings volunteer commitment.
Wings Homeless Advocacy is committed to living out our values of compassion, dignity and respect for all people by uniting our community to be volunteers for those moving out of homelessness and onto a path of healing.
